order to restrain the occurrence of an unsatisfactory display state or
unsatisfactory luminescence in the case where an anode potential is made
to transition from a supply state to a cut-off state in response to the
generation of a display completing signal, when a display signal DS is
generated at time t0, an anode potential Va is raised at time t1, and at
time t2 until which a predetermined time Td2 passes after the anode
potential Va decreases below a threshold potential Vth with a cut-off
voltage applied between cathodes and an anode, the application of the
cut-off voltage is completed.
