A simulator for simulating a health condition comprises a body having a
wall defining a cavity and at least a pair of electromechanical
transducers disposed in the cavity. The pair of electromechanical
transducers comprise mechanical components coupled to selected parts of
the wall of the body. The pair of electromechanical transducers are
configured to produce simulated bilateral movements of the selected parts
of the wall of the body. The simulator further comprises a controlling
device electrically communicating with the electromechanical transducers.
The controlling device is configured to control the electromechanical
transducers in response to a plurality of sets of electrical signals.
Each set of electrical signals corresponding, respectively, to one of a
plurality of health conditions. A relationship between corresponding
bilateral movements of the selected parts of the wall of the body is
different from one health condition to another health condition in the
plurality of health conditions.
