Disclosed is a method for managing extended neighbor cells of a mobile
terminal designed to save power of a battery as well as search time at a
visited location. The method is characterized by the steps of collecting
information on cells which belong to neighboring different PLMN (Public
Land Mobile Network) other than the PLMN to which a serving cell, which
the mobile terminal is assigned to belongs, and of performing rescanning
of HPLMN using the information on cells.
