Disclosed is a photopolymerizable composition containing an addition-polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated compound, a photopolymerization initiator, a polymer binder, and a sensitizing dye represented by the following formula (A), ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and X are as defined in the specification.
