The present invention relates to a compound of formula wherein R.sup.1 is a C.sub.2-7 linear alkyl group. This compound can be used as flavoring ingredient, for instance to impart flavor notes of the green tea and creamy/fatty type as well as to impart a desirable mouthfeel effect.
