The invention provides compositions and methods for inhibiting nematode
damage to plants. The compositions comprise acid extracts or alcohol
extracts from jugloneproducing members of the Juglandaceae. The methods
comprise applying the compositions of the invention to soil contacting
roots of nematode-susceptible plants.
