An RF (Radio Frequency) receiving apparatus and method of a mobile communication terminal are disclosed to perform a GPS signal receiving function for a position tracking service while minimizing interference from a telecommunication signal. The RF receiving apparatus includes a first RF matching unit for RF-matching the telecommunication signal without a change in power strength and a second RF matching unit for RF-matching a telecommunication signal while reducing power strength. When a position tracking service is requested, the first RF matching unit or the second RF matching unit is selected as an RF matching path of the telecommunication signal according to the power strength of the received signal. Thus, with interference or influence of the telecommunication signal minimized, a GPS signal is received and therefore a satellite search performance of the mobile communication terminal is enhanced.
