Administration the composition for promotion of hair growth in a mammal further comprises calcium, magnesium, N-acetyl-cysteine, selenium, copper, and manganese. Use of a composition comprising lysine, proline, arginine, an ascorbic compound, and polyphenols in an effective amount may be used for the preparation of a compound for promoting hair growth in a mammal.
