The honeycomb structure has a structure in which a plurality of cells constituting fluid channels are arranged in parallel with one another in a central axis direction. Solid cells are beforehand arranged in four corners of each of opposite end faces of the honeycomb segment and/or the center of each side of an outer peripheral portion of each of the opposite end faces of the honeycomb segment, and the solid cells are integrated with the honeycomb segment.
