The present invention relates to low-foam surfactant mixtures of the general formula (I) ##STR00001## where R, R.sup.a, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, l, n and m have the meaning given in the description and the claims, and to the production thereof. For example, R=C.sub.13-alkyl, R.sup.a=H, l=5, m=22, n=1, R.sup.1=methyl and R.sup.2=C.sub.6-C.sub.14-alkyl. The surfactants are suitable for detergent and cleaner formulations.
