Further, the present disclosure is also related to monitoring host activity and storing information related to the host activity in a nonvolatile cache of a data storage device. In a particular embodiment, a method includes monitoring a host computer for an occurrence of data storage device related activity and storing information based on the data storage device related activity in a nonvolatile memory of a removable data storage device.
