An organic electroluminescent display comprises a shadow layer, a
transparent electrode, a light emitting layer, a reflective electrode and
a cap layer formed on a substrate. The transparent electrode is connected
to a transistor, located on the shadow layer, and has a larger area than
the shadow layer. The cap layer is formed on the upper surface of the
transparent electrode, and corresponds to the shadow layer. The light
emitting layer is formed on the upper surface of the transparent
electrode. And, the reflective electrode is formed on the upper surface
of the light emitting layer.
