A compound of formula (1) Including pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein: R.sub.1 is aryl or heteroaryl optionally substituted with R.sub.8; R.sub.2 is H or alkyl or CH.sub.2 (when forming part of a ring with R.sub.3, R.sub.4 or R.sub.5); R.sub.3 is H, alkyl, CH.sub.2OH or CH.sub.2OR.sub.6 and can be part of a ring with R.sub.2; R.sub.4 is H, alkyl, CH.sub.2OH or CH.sub.2OR.sub.6 and can be part of a ring with R.sub.2; R.sub.5 is H, alkyl, CH.sub.2OH or CH.sub.2OR.sub.6 and can be part of a ring with R.sub.2; R.sub.6 is H, alkyl, COH, COOR.sub.9, CON(R.sub.9).sub.2, COR.sub.9, COR.sub.10, COR.sub.11, P(O).sub.nR.sub.9, P(O).sub.nR.sub.10S(O).sub.nR.sub.10 or S(O).sub.nR.sub.9 and can be part of a ring with R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 or R.sub.5; R.sub.7 is H, alkyl, COOR.sub.9, COOR.sub.11, COR.sub.9 or CON(R.sub.9).sub.2, and can be part of a ring with R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 or R.sub.6; R.sub.8 is alkyl, CF.sub.3, OR.sub.9, OCOR.sub.9, CONH.sub.2, CN, F, Cl, Br, I, N(R.sub.9).sub.2, NO.sub.2, NHCHO, NHCONH.sub.2, NHSO.sub.2R.sub.9, CON(R.sub.9).sub.2, S(O).sub.nR.sub.9, CH.sub.2OH Or OCON(R.sub.9).sub.2; R.sub.9 is H, alkyl or cycloalkyl; R.sub.10 is aryl or heteroaryl (optionally substituted with R.sub.8) or a four to seven membered ring (which is optionally substituted with R.sub.8 and can contain one or more additional heteroatoms selected from the list O, S(O).sub.n and NR.sub.9); R.sub.11 is alkyl optionally substituted with R.sub.8 or R.sub.10; and n is O, 1 or 2; provided that when R.sub.3, R.sub.4 or R.sub.5 is CH.sub.2OH then R.sub.6 is not H, and that when R.sub.7 is H and R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are alkyl then R.sub.6 is not H. is of therapeutic use in the treatment of a condition associated with T-cell proliferation or that is mediated by pro- and/or anti-inflammatory cytokines. ##STR00001##
