The subject matter of the invention is an apparatus for explanting a
dental implant from a human or animal bone. In one example, the invention
may use a trephine bur on the end side of which there is formed a bur
bit. In one or more examples, an apparatus by which dental implants can
be drilled out accurately is achieved by a guide pin that can be attached
to the dental implant and by a guide element attached to the trephine
bur, said guide element cooperating with the guide pin so that the
trephine bur is guided in the axial direction of the guide pin.
