An organic light emitting diode and a method of manufacturing the same are
provided. The organic light emitting diode includes: a first electrode
disposed on a substrate; an organic layer including at least an emitting
layer disposed on the first electrode; and a second electrode including
at least two layers and a Ca thin layer interposed between the at least
two layers on the organic layer. In this case, the Ca layer acts as a
moisture-absorbing material for preventing moisture and oxygen from
penetrating, so that pixel shrinkage and dark spot defects due to the
penetration may be prevented, thereby providing an organic light emitting
diode and a method of manufacturing the same without using any moisture
absorbing material at the time of encapsulation.
