A wound dressing that provides galvanic current and has antimicrobial
properties. The dressing comprises a pliable base material, along with a
pattern of deposited metal flakes. The metal flakes include at least two
different metal types which are deposited in patterns which touch or
overlap, typically in a repeating pattern. The two metals create a
galvanic current in the wound area. The metals are deposited in mounds so
that the wound dressing continues to work over extended periods of time.
