A low-cost, easily retrofit Propulsion Controlled Aircraft (PCA) system
for use on a wide range of commercial and military aircraft consists of
an propulsion controlled aircraft computer that reads in aircraft data
including aircraft state, pilot commands and other related data,
calculates aircraft throttle position for a given maneuver commanded by
the pilot, and then displays both current and calculated throttle
position on a cockpit display to show the pilot where to move throttles
to achieve the commanded maneuver, or is automatically sent digitally to
command the engines directly.
