The present invention consists of a Multimedia Fall Prevention system
serving the fall prevention needs of older adults. Every year
approximately 1 in 3 older adults who are over 65 will fall according to
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The first step in
preventing falls is for each person to understand those elements of their
personal characteristics that make them likely to fall. Next, they must
be able to recognize situations that may cause them to fall. A system is
disclosed that addresses each of these issues. The system is comprised of
three separate components: a personal interview, one or more training
sessions, and one or more evaluations.
