The polymerizable liquid crystal composition includes at least two selected from the group of compounds represented by the following Formulas (1) and (2): ##STR00001## wherein m is 5 or 10; and ##STR00002## wherein n is 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 or 9, and R is hydrogen or methyl wherein said composition includes at most only two compounds of Formula (1) in which m is 10; and wherein said composition does not include a compound of Formula (2) in which n is 3 and R is hydrogen.
