An antiperspirant active salt made by treating an aluminum salt of general formula; Al.sub.2 (OH).sub.6-a X.sub.a wherein X is Cl, Br or I, and a is 0.3 to 4.0, with an effective amount of a phosphorus containing material, and ageing the salt.

Un sel actif d'antiperspirant fait en traitant un sel d'aluminium de formule générale ; Al.sub.2 (OH).sub.6-a X.sub.a où X est Cl, Br ou I, et a est de 0.3 à 4.0, avec une quantité efficace d'un phosphore contenant le matériel, et vieillissant le sel.
