Novel compounds having the structure (I) where R.sub.1 is a lower alkyl group, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 is each independently hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, R.sub.6 is hydrogen, a lower alkyl group, an alkylidene group or a lower alkenyl group and R.sub.7 is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, have desirable odor properties, possibly of a blackcurrant, green, buchu, cassis nature, and find use in perfumes and perfumed products. ##STR1##
