A printer includes a cylinder pair that consists of a forme cylinder and a
transfer cylinder. A satellite or steel cylinder forms a print position as
it cooperates with the transfer cylinder of the cylinder pair. The form
cylinder and the transfer cylinder are a fixed coupling driver assembly
which is driven by a common drive motor. The drive assembly of the
cylinder pair and a drive system for the satellite or steel cylinder can
be selectively mechanically coupled with each other by use of a coupling.
