Superconducting cable (1) comprising:
a) a layer (20) of tapes comprising superconducting material,
b) a tubular element (6) for supporting said layer (20) of tapes comprising
superconducting material,
c) a cooling circuit, adapted to cool the superconducting material to a
working temperature not higher than its critical temperature,
characterized in that said tubular element (6) is composite and comprises a
predetermined amount of a first material having a first thermal expansion
coefficient and a second material having a thermal expansion coefficient
higher than that of said first material, said thermal expansion
coefficients and said amounts of said first and second material being
predetermined in such a way that said tubular element has an overall
thermal shrinkage between the room temperature and said working
temperature of the cable such as to cause a deformation of said tapes
comprising superconducting material lower than the critical deformation of
the same tapes.
Câble supraconducteur (1) comportant : a) par couche (20) de bandes comportant le matériel supraconducteur, b) un élément tubulaire (6) pour ladite couche de support (20) de bandes comportant le matériel supraconducteur, c) un circuit de refroidissement, s'est adapté pour refroidir le matériel supraconducteur à une température fonctionnante pas plus haut que sa température critique, caractérisée en ce que ledit élément tubulaire (6) est composé et comporte une quantité prédéterminée d'un premier matériel ayant un premier coefficient de dilatation thermique et d'un deuxième matériel ayant un coefficient de dilatation thermique plus haut que cela de ledit premier matériel, de lesdits coefficients de dilatation thermique et de lesdites quantités de ledit premier et deuxième matériel étant prédéterminé de telle manière que ledit élément tubulaire ait un rétrécissement thermique global entre la salle la température et la température fonctionnante du câble comme pour causer une déformation de lesdites bandes comportant inférieur matériel supraconducteur à la déformation critique de la même chose bandes.
