An X-ray device has an X-ray source that is disposed on a substantially opposite side of an object to be analyzed from a digital X-ray detector. The digital X-ray detector may be formed as an array having a plurality of detectors, and the device may have a plurality of arrays. The detector moves linearly relative to the object along an axis.
