An aircraft wing comprises a main wing with a pivotable trailing edge and
a lift-assisting flap on the rear of the wing. The lift-assisting flap is
coupled to the main wing and is designed in such a way that in its
retracted state, the lift-assisting flap abuts the main wing and in an
extended state, the lift-assisting flap forms an air gap with the main
wing. The pivotable trailing edge is pivotable in such a way that, by
pivoting the pivotable trailing edge, the shape and the width of the air
gap are adjustable.
